UGA is a bad match up for AU

A running back who can run between the tackles and with the speed to break the big run. A QB capable of picking the defense apart and burning man to man coverage. A defense that should be able to somewhat contain AU's rushing attack.

This is going to be a tough game for AU. Marshall will have to throw the ball to win and Jake Holland will have to run fit and make tackles.

Maybe I am being a pussy and unable to shake the effects of the last couple of seasons, but I'm officially worried.

I think UGA will win, should win, and I would list them "as the favorite to win".

If Auburn plays their A game they have a punchers chance. Should be a great game to watch.

Lucky for him, UGA has one of the worst pass defense in the SEC. Just a marginally good day(200-225 yards) will open up our run game even more so.

We should be worried. These next two games will define how good we really are.

We can beat spread teams by outscoring them. We can handle teams with inferior talent and coaching by playing consistent.

But can we go up against the power team that tackles well in space and has an offense that can eat clock while wearing down our defense?

No matter the field conditions, the weather, or the evolving/devolving nature of each team, the LSU game proved we have a hard time defeating teams like Georgia and Alabama.

To beat Georgia, we'll have to hit a few deep balls and hope the defense forces a few turnovers.

2011 and 2012 sucked all optimism out of me. I think this game will be a shoot out. However, we are due against Georgia.

Our special teams are not special.
That could be the difference.

Yep.

Also, while Gurley is sure to get his yards (probably over 160), we have to make him work for points (i.e. no long TD runs).

It will be a very interesting game. Not going out on a limb here obviously, but I see both teams putting up points. I love the over on 62.5.

If Georgia's special teams don't have any big mistakes then I'm leaning toward us. But we have maybe played 3 games all season without a major special teams blunder.

Do you realize that if you multiplied that 10 times, you'd have....Alabama?

They still have WR issues as well.

@marcweiszer: UGA OC Mike Bobo said he's not counting on having WR Chris Conley (ankle) on Saturday. A gametime decision.

This was sent out after ATL radio said he was good to go, yesterday.

I promise...we will talk about you after this game.

Please just a bit of patience. We all know your team is good, hopefully in another thread someone will tell you again so your insecurity wanes.

maybe, just maybe, in the tread title containing UGA and Auburn we could talk about UGA and Auburn?

Not a problem, but why do Auburn posts keep showing up in all the threads pertaining to Alabama and other teams?
