Does this mean you will do the thread this season?

FWIW, I am excited and renewals are coming up.

I guess I should start a basketball thread so it doesn't look like we're jumping straight from football to baseball this year...

And I quite agree with Athanatos on Beede and Fulmer. Will need to refresh my memory a bit to make a stab at who will be going on Sunday.

Yeah, I'll take care of the thread. I only brought this up once I saw our streak of #1 recruiting classes came to an end. #20 isn't too bad, and it's to be expected with the competition for playing time.

Pitching will be ridiculously deep this year. The lineup will have more power than speed and should develop nicely by the end of the year. Looking forward to a great season.

I will throw up a women's one. Meant to do it the other day but got sidetracked.

J. Miller struck out 11 in five innings Friday. He looked dominant compared to Fulmer. Maybe Miller will show up as a weekend starter this season?

Jared Miller looked stellar over the series, and Beede looks like he has his control back. Beede fanned 14 while walking no one.

There is now only a week and a half until baseball kicks off, and as a shocker to no one, Vandy starts off as a consensus top 10 team. Any predictions on how far this team can make it? I see Omaha.

How far they can go? With Corbs at the helm and the talent throughout, I think Omaha is easily attainable.

Omaha is obviously the goal and is attainable if Corbin can get his team to peak in May and June instead of April.

I agree with attainable, but not so sure about the "easily". That said, I expect them to make it to Omaha...

This has happened nearly every year. I don't understand what happens come tournament time.

I didn't mean it would be "easy" to do, but I think it's well within the ability of this squad. It's not a huge stretch of the imagination that they get there, thus "easily attainable".

Not surprised at J Miller making the rotation. He has been on fire. I am surprised Ferguson got the start on Sunday though. Sundays might be a committee again this year, until someone seizes the opportunity.

Glad to see they pulled out the first one despite a rough start, 5-2 final.

Wow, they are going off in the top of the 3rd. Harvey strikes out to start inning. Coleman gets on with a single. Swanson doubles to score Coleman. Turner gets on by a hit pitch. Wiel flies out. Then a string of singles by Rogers, Conde, and Reynolds scores Swanson, Turner, and Rogers. Norwood doubles to score Conde. Then, just like the inning started, Harvey strikes out. 5 runs in the inning. 5-0 score for the game so far.

And Jared Miller keeps up his hot streak. 4 Ks and no walks through 5.
