Why is UGA so proud of last year's SECCG?

If you would be so kind as to direct your browser to this link, you will see that NFL teams that score at least one defensive TD in a game go on to win those games at an almost 90% clip. I tried to find the same percentage for college but had no luck. However, I think it is fair to assume that the number is similar.

Now, UGA fans love to crow about how they "almost beat Alabama" and were "5 yards from the NC" and both those things are true. However, it should also be pointed out that they did score a defensive TD in that game off a blocked kick. They then subsequently went on to lose the game -- something that stats say should only happen about 10-15% of the time. Is that really something to brag about?

The truth is the game went about as well as possible for UGA and they still came up short.

It's pretty clear if those two teams played 100 times or so, I'm guessing Bama wins like 80 of em.

Why are Bama fans so concerned with what Georgia fans think on every single thing? It really is strange. We don't play that often. You are kicking arse right now. What gives?

Is it because so many Bama fans live in Georgia?

Why are you so concerned with a game you won a year ago and the fanbase that you beat?

Insecure much?

Well, I hope you feel better now. Good day, sir.

I agree the OP is kind of an out of left field post. However, in his defense, with LSU's decline in full effect, A&M's abomination on defense, Tennessee's missing decade, and Auburn's one dimensional high school offense, we are just running out of things to brag about / talk about.

WE ARE GRASPING AT STRAWS HERE MAN!

What a great game that was. UGA fans stood in stunned silence as Kirby Smart celebrated all over the field.

I think Kirby Smart should be the next head ball coach at Florida.

Go and make that happen, please.

I doubt UF wants to hire another UGA sleeper agent.
