Are LSU fans just spoiled?

I'll preface this by saying I've always thought Miles was just an above average gameday coach. Great guy, great recruiter and "head" of a program, but to win one game he wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my list.
That being said, since he arrived in BR there is ONE program in the country who wouldn't trade their success for his. Now you guys want him fired? Seriously?
I cannot envision any scenario in which, seven years from now, I want Sumlin fired after seven 10+ win seasons.

There was a good article written about this from a guy in Louisiana prior to the game.
Basically, if the "other team" weren't in the same division, being coached by Saban, and if LSU didn't have to play them every year - Miles would be the biggest Hero in the history of LSU sports.

They thought their run in the early 2000's was gonna be permanent. It didn't work out that way. Now they're good while other teams are great. They are frustrated.

Well of course it's frustrating because LSU was at the top and now Bama seems to be pulling away. As if 1/9 wasn't enough, Bama just keeps sticking it to LSU.

Auburn went 3-9 last year.
Arkansas has been terrible 2 straight years.
Florida won't make a bowl this year.
Tennessee has gone through 6 years of turmoil.
Georgia will have lost at least 4 games in 4 of the last 5 years after this season, including a losing season in 2010.
South Carolina has been great the last couple seasons, but they lost at least 5 games every year from 2005-2010.
LSU has had one "bad year" in 10 seasons. They won 8 games and destroyed a team in their bowl.
Even Florida has had multiple 5-loss seasons in that stretch. But still, if you want to put them in tier 2 with LSU, that's certainly understandable. But over the past 10-11 years, no one else is even remotely close to LSU in terms of consistency.
So yeah, we're spoiled. Spoiled by the success Miles has sustained. We're not Alabama. But we're damn good.

We are. But I think a lot of fans like myself are so sadden to see the 2011 not win a national title. Even though we got our arse kicked in the game. I just felt like that team deserved it threw their schedule. That 21-0 ruined college football for me for the past 2 years

What "run"? Nick Saban had a lower win % from 1999-2004 than Miles has had there. They both won one national title. They've been close to two others under Miles.

Schedule. Bama knows it. That is why they say dynasty but it doesn't feel like one.
You can feel it on the tide like a cold secret.
But they are a good ball club for sure. Good chance they could have one one with LSu's schudule - but we will never know.

This certainly doesn't help, but Saban was equally maligned in BR at times almost every year he was here at some point or another. We are just a fanbase of extremes. Always have been always will be.

It is absolutely true. Miles problem is he is being compared to Nick Saban, and not just Nick Saban at LSU, but Nick Saban at Alabama, and the what could have been Nick Saban in the alternate universe where he never goes to Miami.
What Saban is doing at Bama is not normal. IF he wins this year, he will be 4 for 5. There is no coach that can do that at LSU. there is no coach that can do that any where. This is a singularly unique moment in time where Nick Saban has literally everything going Bama's way.

I guess you don't remember the aftermath of the 2000 UAB game, the 2001 Ole Miss game, the 2002 Alabama/Auburn/Arkansas games, the 2003 Florida game and the 2004 UGA game? It wasn't that much different for Saban then than it is for Miles now. Not saying that your point has no bearing at all because it does add some weight to it all, but LSU fans either love you or hate you any given week based on what they have most recently seen.

We are spoiled, but you have to understand that the Les quirks can sometimes get to people when things don't go as well as they once went. Seeing him eat the grass, CBS showing him digging in his ear after a dumb call, hearing him speak, but not understanding what he's saying, repeated clock management blunders that blow comeback chances, etc.
He has had a great record. There is no denying that. But LSU has lost 3 of its last 4 bowl games (he blew the Clemson game last year when all LSU had to do was run out the clock). He made some really bad decisions in the Bama game last year as well. And LSU hasn't really done anything significant since losing the national title game in completely stubborn fashion.
There are many people that don't want him fired, but with just about every junior on LSU's team going to the pros these days (even if they're not getting drafted high), people are concerned about what could happen because Miles' teams seem to need superior talent. I think he does good with stuff during the week, but on Gameday, we seem to have the same issues a lot. Miles has been really consistent, but it's going to be a challenge for him if we lose all the juniors again to the pros.
