Malzahn and Pinkel are the obvious front runners... If Bama hangs another score board on Auburn and Ole Miss manages to beat Mizzou and win out does Freeze suddenly become the favorite ? My vote goes to either Gus or Pinkel... whichever coach gets his team to ATL... If Bama and USC face off in the SECCG then Freeze should get serious consideration (assuming OM wins out)

Saban is the coach of the year every year but that is not how the award is given

Gus is the national leader right now

I'd say the coach that took a team from a dumpster fire to 9-1 should be the SEC Coach of the Year

Turnarounds are easy with fresh blood.

Sustaining is hard.

I wasn't specifically talking about your post, I was just saying Saban is the best coach in the nation and IS the coach of the year every year but that is not how they give the awards

I think Saban should get COTY.

Malzahn should have this wrapped up even if they lose to Bama.

So you're seriously saying that Nick Saban had a tougher task this year than Malzahn?

Saban is King of the Hill until someone knocks him off of it.

It ain't going to be Malzhan or Freeze or Pinkel.

Doesn't matter who they "give" the award to; we all know it's Saban's.
