If they had called "unnecessary roughness" it wouldn't have bothered me.

White hats have had that call in their pockets for years.

Good,

The NCAA needs to clarify these tackling rules a bit more because right now nobody knows how any one play would be ruled.

tackling rules

Probably more appropriately, the hitting rules.
The reason rugby players don't wear helmets (they tackle) and football players do (they use the helmets as a weapon [i know this play was just shoulder]) becomes more & more evident w each season.

I don't disagree.
Just saying that the rules will undoubtedly continue to be tweaked big time.

agreed, the football "helmets" are just weapons in disguise.

Which is why we should get rid of helmets. People act like that's crazy but there are fewer concussions in rugby than football.

Oklahoma wouldn't beat Kentucky. Baylor wouldn't beat Miss St.

This game is an embarrassment.

The targeting rule is out of control. Everyteam is having to deal with shoulder hits being 15 yarders after clean arse hits because the refs are just calling it and overturning it on replay. The rule is @ss in current form.
