Paul Johnson spoke Monday night to the Macon Touchdown Club...
“It’s been a tough year in the state for injuries,” he said. “(Falcons head coach) Mike Smith and I have been good friends for 30 years. We’ve lost five scholarship offensive linemen this year, three safeties and some different things.
“He said the Falcons have lost, I think almost 65 percent of their payroll, is out.”
Johnson then took his shot, 26 days before the game, with a smile.
“I’m not quite sure if the University of Georgia’s lost 65 percent of the payroll.” he said.

Right, Coach Johnson, we pay players. That is probably why UGA football is on probation. Wait, actually we aren't. But I'm sure there is some team in Georgia on probation. Just can't seem to remember who...

Mine was a joke too, bro. My relatives are about half Tech fans so I've heard it all and enjoy the banter. Paul Johnson can make a cliched obvious joke, it's fine. I just like mentioning that Georgia Tech has more separate probations than wins over UGA during this millenium.
I'm just gonna leave the "pack it in your arse" alone. I don't judge what goes on in Midtown Atlanta but I'm not interested in whatever you are offering.
One more fun Georgia Tech stat: Mark Richt has more wins in "Clean Old Fashioned Hate" in Atlanta than Tech's last 9 coaches combined.
