Has anyone else read this book ? Picked it up last night and I've already devoured 200+ pages of it... Great read.

As soon as I finish re-reading ASOIAF with the SO, I plan on picking up "In the Garden of Beasts" because I really enjoyed "Devil in the White City" that much.

FWIW, Leonardo DiCaprio purchased the film rights to the movie back in 2010. No idea when it'll make it to the big screen though.

I really enjoyed it.

Creepy, and historical. Good mix.

Gonna be finished with this one by Friday... It's a great read... At times it reminds me of a mix between "American Psycho" and "Rising Tide" by John Barry with all the murder and engineering aspects discussed in it... It's about the 1927 MS flood and the different steps the Corp of Engineers took to control the Mississippi River and you all know what American Psycho is about.

I will say I was a bit disappointed in the final part of the book. How he was caught was fascinating, but Larson seemed to rush through that part of the story. Maybe that's just me though. I thought that was the most fascinating part of the story, and how it was told left a little to be desired.

Great book. Got through it in about a week.

Looking forward to the movie. Heard Leo Dicaprio wants to be Holmes. David Fincher will direct.

I thought it was pretty good but not great. I got a little tired of the drawn out discussions of the fair progression. I wanted more focus on Holmes.

Def read Rising Tide. Awesome book.
