And with Franklin and Sumlin on the raiding radar, there conceivably be 4 or 5 coaching vacancies in the near future.

The SEC is a'changing my friends.

Arky and MSU can't do better than what they have...I think they both last

Only way Bielema is gone is if Long takes him to Texas w/ him.

I think Mullen is safe. I think Bielema could be safe if his wife posts some nude selfies.

I think Muschamp is probably out...especially if embarassed by FSU.

Hard to say if Sumlin will leave or not.

Why would any team want a gimmicky coach who has only found success, resultant of his QB?

MSU would be stupid to fire Mullen.

Bielema just doesn't fit the high-flying passing Arkansas tradition established by Petrino at all IMO. I don't like his old school pound game he's trying to establish because it's not as effective as the new spread.

that post was more a shot at our fans and our schools attitude towards when changes have to be made. Foley has shown he has a quick trigger. Joe only has a quick trigger for axing programs before facts come out.

Mullen has thru the end of the 2014 season. They are hoping the west will be down & with some decent QB play make it to the SECCG.

I swear programs like Auburn have ruined college fan hood.

Firing coaches after one bad season shouldn't be the norm.

I don't see any firings there. Arky is getting better. State is treading water, but Mullen is holding them at their highest level over a long period of time.

Muschamp, I'd be worried about. But he was supposedly a stud last year, and he's definitely toughened up that team. So I'd say we see another new coordinator.

Sumlin could go NFL; you never know. I don't know why he'd take another college job, with things running like they are now for him. Franklin, God knows I love him, but it's a tough year for Vandy. He's not at the crest of his wave.

What if they all come back?

As for Auburn, Bowden, Tuberville, and Chizik all had more than one bad season. They had bad trends, culminating in bad seasons. I didn't want Tuberville cut until I really looked at the data -- he had to go.

Bret isn't going anywhere for a while. He inherited an empty cupboard and it will take him at least 3 years to get everything running like he likes. It would be dumb to push him away before then.

However, if we do decide to fire him I'm sure we won't have a problem picking up another highly-successful coach with BCS bowl experience. It's kind of what we do.

You do realize we have a much longer 'tradition' as a running team that as a 'high-flying passing' team don't you?

Well, never mind... I answered my own question. You don't.

CBB is safe.

Mullen should be, I don't know that they can ever get a whole lot consistently better at MSU, but I'm sure they will want to give someone else a shot eventually.

Muschamp will be the first to feel the heat, already is I'm sure.

Should Dan be gone after this season? Probably. He's gonna have to work some serious magic to prove to me he should stick around.

The only way he gets fired is if he gets embarrassed in every game from here out, though. And even that's not a sure thing.
