Is Spurrier getting too old?

Seriously, why all the close games against lesser opponents?

Barely beating Vandy and Kentucky?

Damned near lost to UCF.

Needed a huge 4th quarter comeback and OT to beat Mizzou.

Letting Tennessee hang around long enough to pull off the upset?

The Georgia game doesn't concern me. You played them early before all the injuries. They were a damn respectable team at the time.

But what's with all the other games I listed?

Is it injuries? Connor Shaw? Spurrier over the hill?

What's the excuse(s) for all this lackluster performance?

I don't pay that close of attention to Carolina so I'm really curious what's going on here. Good excuse to chat about the SEC East IMHO.

You don't pay attention USC rarely ever blows anyone out. They just win. Probably why they are always considered overrated by fans from other conferences.

The same thing that is wrong with them every year. Always lose a few games. It is what it is with them.

Exactly. Not pretty but effective. Also makes their fans gray haired or bald and has been known to take years of their lives.

We aren't that good on the road. (SEE UCF, MIZZOU, TENN)

We can't hold large leads. (SEE VANDY AND KY)

Bottom line is we win most of the time.

Eh a win is a win.

No one remembers the point spread later on, just whether or not that W is in the column.

So you could say they have "caught the LSU bug"

Ah... I see you were leading Vandy by 25 and Kentucky by 20 at the start of the 4th quarter.

Did OBC just put in the 2nd teamers in the 4th quarter?

LSU fans should know all about this, Les Miles is the king of close victories and luck.

Let me know when the dairy scientists at Moo State stumble upon how to infect LSU again.

This. It's why we lose a couple games we shouldn't too. We let teams hang around. It's also why we're on upset alert almost every week.

It's all part of getting over the hump ... all part of exorcising the demons of the past.

Our day is coming. We just need to keep winning. We have a good start going - just keep winning.

The sleeping giant prophecy is almost fulfilled. We're the youngest team in America - it's just a matter of time now until we takeover the world.

we are winning in more ways than one…

Like Ryan Succop winning his bet with Chase Daniel…

I can empathize.

Glad we could stage this therapy session for y'all to let it out.

Far more therapeutic, IMHO, than visiting the Tiger Rant.

For years Carolina could always find a way to lose.. Now we try to find ways to NOT lose. This usually includes playing to the level of your competition. It's a transitional thing I suppose. Things move a LOT slower when it comes to developing a winning football program at SC compared to everywhere else in the country that has done it.
