Looks like Arkansas may not have an ally on their side when they are fighting for a top-4 spot in the playoffs in the next few seasons...

You should seek help for your Little Brother Syndrome.

The first step is to admit you have a problem.

I believe Joe Castiglione's name is being tossed around as well.

If he didn't leave for Stanford, why the hell leave for Texas?

Joe Cash would be awesome, I've always liked him even though he jumped ship to Okie.

It would be nice to see Oklahoma lose him to Texas.

According to the news here in Phoenix, Steve Patterson (ASU) was offered the job by the Board of Regents. He turned it down despite a double in pay because it it will be an impossible situation. The President, of UT, who the Regents want to replace, is recruiting candidates (Long from WVU) and the Regents are offering their own candidates. A huge power struggle is going on.

I'm quite well known as an Auburn and Oregon State fan, actually. Today is a high holy day in the Orange Nation.

I seriously doubt he leaves. He even saida week or two ago that he had no intention of leaving anytime soon.

However, it would be extremely interesting to see him be the guy that followed both Frank Broyles and Royal as athletic directors. Two of the most week known and respected AD's in the country.

I think they are targeting Oliver Luck. They want to know if anyone else is interested. Doesn't seem like anyone else is giving them positive feedback yet.

But they don't offer anything to anyone unless they know that person will accept. Just ask their Football recruiting coordinator. So they are probably trying to gauge interest by letting little bits out to the media to see if they gain legs or not.

It won't be Luck or Long. Look for somebody like a Larry Scott type. They have to promote a brand and do it in a fashion nobody in NCAA can do except a conference.

Castiglione is a great choice. I think they try to hire a VP of a professional league or Fortune 500.
