You gotta love that showing the South as not bigoted is apparently humorous.

Al Madrigal travels to Alabama and Mississippi to see which one of these backwoods, inbred, homophobic states will swim longest against the tide of history

Hilarious.

Yes. I did. Don't really care for his show or to watch. Have in the past. I rank him along the likes of Bill Maher and Michael Moore.

The fact that two men can walk down a street holding hands in Alabama without getting lynched shouldn't surprise anyone. The fact that it's funny or surprising says more about anti-Southern bias from the North than anything else

Which is not surprising that, that is the take from the video that I didn't watch. Any opportunity to show prejudice towards the South, is jumped on by the more liberal "comedians".

ehh... i think Stewart and Cobert to Moore and Maher are like CNN to MSNBC. Pretty left, but not that left.

i enjoy their comedy for the most part and enjoy the moments when the flip the script and are actually objective on ocassion.

It's not "anti-Southern bias" when people from those very states agree with how backwards they are and that they will be the final two states to ever allow gay marriage. Those states bring it upon themselves.

You may be just a little bit biased, don't you think?

Pretty much.

This actually shows the South in a pretty good light. They could have done the same thing in some rural area of Alabama and gotten a totally different response.
