who will replace him at Alabama?

Note: The obligatory "you scared" is fine...I readily admit I am ready for some Saban relief...

And so would the rest of the SEC.

I would guess Kirby Smart is sticking around for a reason.

Smart is the most obvious but not necessarily the best choice.

Honestly Dabo probably has the 2nd best chance after Smart.

Les miles will get the job. He reads Tiger Rant and is disgusted, quits and Saban arranges for him to be his successor.

He very well may. Not sure what else he can accomplish? That or he's the most miserable sounding-happy with where he works sounding guy I've ever heard.

To answer the question though - I could see Dabo Swinney. Although not sure I'd love that hire.

Not really. Am very happy that CNS has brought Alabama back to glory and discipline.
That being said I honestly don't know. Just hope we don't make the stupid mistakes we made in the past.

I don't know... I'm a little nervous about that idea myself. Depends on who all is available, I guess.

smart would not be a great choice, just like Muschamp wasn't a great solution at UF.

With the way alabama is rolling right now, they should target the best, most proven, sure fire HC in America, at any level. There's no need for them to hire a guy who has never been a HC and the majority of his career has been spent under the same HC.

The longer this goes, the more I think Kirby Smart will have a legit shot at it. Would be risky, but I'm slowly starting to come around to that possibility - Smart is probably sticking around for a good reason. I still think Alabama would ultimately go for an established head coach.

Other than Smart? I have no idea, but Alabama will probably be a in a position to pick from a bunch of "A" choices.

Dabo has no shot in my opinion - thank God.

if bama is smart they go outside of the bama family tree again.

going inside the family tree doesn't usually workout very well.

smart could be the exception but dabo would be over run at bama unless he took his oc with him.

Charlie Strong? David Shaw? Probably the same cast that has been named in all the Texas job search articles.

Muschamp was UF's like 7th choice. There's a reason he wasn't #1 on their board, and it's the same reason Smart won't be #1 on bama's.

And btw, Muschamp was average in 2011, very good in 2012 (but lost to UGA and then embarrassed by lousiville) and sucks in 2013.
