Realistically, how far could they drop? At best, they will finish 3rd in the SEC West this season. They lose Johnny Manziel at the end of the season and that loss will be felt the minute he declares for the NFL Draft (see - Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, etc). Plus, look at that joke of a defense they put on the field this season. They can't stop anyone, anytime.

Auburn, Alabama, LSU, and Ole Miss will all almost definitely be better next season, leaving Texas A&M to finish, at best, 5th in the SEC West.

Agreed. 5th at best. Mizzou will bring more to the conference for years to come.

They lose Mike Evans as well.

Away games at Auburn and Bama will not be fun.

Kevin Sumlin might even go ahead and make the jump to the NFL, or another job seeking his employment.

You have to think he can't sense this coming.

He should. He's only winning because of mike Sherman any way and only won at UH because of briles. Hes a terribly overrated coach who is riding coat tails to each next job

Not worried about where in the west we finish if it's not first. I mean last year we finished 3rd according to the LSU posters but ended up ranked 5th with 11 wins. This year we should get to double digits again anywhere from 2nd to 4th in the west.

Next year I expect 8, maybe 9 wins as long as Sumlin and Ced come back.

I honestly can't name a player on their defense. JFF, Evans and the Matthews kid at OL is it. They'll all be gone, including Sumlin, and the fall from grace will be painful.

it will be a tough year for Sumlin and Co. I'd say they go 9-4 or 8-5. They'll probably start ranked around 20 in the preseason, and will be in and out of the rankings all year.

I'm being completely honest with my posts. I have no hate for Johnny Manziel, Kevin Sumlin or Texas A&M. It's just going to be extremely hard to win games after a player of that magnitude, who also happens to play the most important position in college football, leaves to the NFL (plus the defense situation).

I think next year will be rough - 7ish wins with upside of 9 depending on how good our next QB is. However in a couple years, I think we might actually play defense.
