Coach just eluded to Dee Liner may get to see some playing this week.

Good and bad to this I guess - coach seemed to have mixed feelings as well.

I look forward to seeing him play.

I hope not. I'd rather him redshirt seeing as how we've already used 2 true freshman on the D-Line this year. Granted, they've both played extremely well, but I'd like to hold on to Liner for another year. We don't know what our depth will look like in 3-4 years.

Coach said the same thing, but went on to say, "We'll probably have to use him this weekend."

Yeah, with Fanning gone for good and Ivory suspended, we are going to be pretty thin on the DL this weekend. We could really use Paige.

Saban says true frosh Dee Liner will likely play against Tennessee. Said the team almost played him last week. Was headed toward a redshirt.

Saban asked (by fan) if "we can assume Blake Sims is the heir apparent at QB." His reply: "Not at all.

"Saban says Cyrus Jones will start at cornerback opposite Deion Belue against Tennessee

Didn't you hear? He's the proud owner of some prime real estate in Austin this week.

I really don't get it. Jackson was playing well. Then Sylve was playing well. What the frick do they want to see before giving one guy the job?

Jackson seemed to be the missing piece to the puzzle. We're heading into week 8, find a damn starter.

Apparently Sylve is hurt. Don't know about Jackson.

Sylve is injured. Jackson is still nicked up.

Jmo opinion but I think the coaching staff is looking at next year as well. By playing all these young guys they will all get vauable experience to see who will take over after belue leaves. That way going into next season we know who will be our 2 best corners.

I think Jones potential is through the roof. It's kind of hard to transition into a DB system that demands discipline over athleticism, but he seems coachable. I look at this cb situation as a blessing for later this season and next year.

He has played well outside of the A&M game, but even in the A&M game, he had one of the biggest plays of the game.

Great players rarely stay five years so the sooner the better he gets meaningful snaps.

We are going to have a lot of depth at corner going into next year. Only lose Fulton and Belue. Add in Bessent and hopefully Marlon.

Jackson
Smith
Collins
Sunseri
Slyve
Jones

I feel confident with that group. Add in Geno and Perry at safety, and it's a solid rotation.

Can Fulton really be classified as a loss?
