His buddies are gonna put me in timeout but it's just too funny to see how personally he takes any criticism of the basketball program.

And now Reese has been kicked off the team.

Can't say that's really gonna hurt this team. His dad only had a job so his son would play for A&M. I remember our teams getting fricking killed when he was coaching at Bryan High while I was going there.

I lived through Tony Barone and Melvin Watkins and can tell you we haven't even gotten close to hitting bottom yet, that's what scares me.

I remember the court being rushed because we beat Oklahoma State when they were ranked #12.

That was my senior year, and I think they were ranked 9th.

I've been convinced that Kennedy is a crap coach since early in season 2, but even I was shocked at the ineptitude on display yesterday. UNT is a very bad team (they own a 30 point loss to BYU, an unfathomable 35 point loss to SFA, a loss to Colombia, and a few other Ls) and they beat the shite out of us in our house. I mean they completely dominated us on both sides of the ball (they shot 51% while holding us to 30%). Overall, I think that was the worst performance of Kennedy's tenure.

What are you all thinking about conference play? Before yesterday, I was predicting that it'd be about like last year (7-11 or maybe 8-10), but now I'm feeling that this team has the potential to be one of the worst in the SEC. Yesterday convinced me that the team has quit on Kennedy, so I think we'll see progressively decreasing levels of effort on D from game to game. Combine that with our piss poor shooting and I don't think a 3-15 or 4-14 season is out of the question.

Did you watch today's game? If so, care to share your impressions on the game?

Box scores don't always tell the whole story.

---For the folks like me who missed the game:

If you're in the Houston area, the replay is airing right now on FSN.

Edit: I got to catch the 2nd half and it was the same song, different verse. The Ags came out sluggish to start the half, as per usual. It was interesting to watch the Ags jack up so many 3's; we went 7-26 from downtown.

The only positive I can spin from the game is that Caruso had a great all-around game (5-6 from the field, 6 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks). He's done a good job this year of staying out of foul trouble.

8/9 on projected wins, 1/1 on projected losses, 2/4 on tossups (which by the very definition is a perfect record).

Still only got the UNT game wrong (and no one saw that coming...well not against UNT anyway).

Geez, you should have seen the UNT game in person. Absolutely brutal. Then to turn around and play quite well against Arkansas.....Who the hell knows which team will show up in Knoxville tomorrow. I'm inclined to believe we will get run right out of their arena.

Arkansas has only won 5 games away from BWA in the last 8(?) seasons.

That might well be factually true about Arkansas. However, it does help to actually play well in order to win. And I thought that overall the team played well on Wednesday night. But that is just my opinion.

That was actually a better win than at Kentucky last year. Showed great anti-Sherman character. Still standing by my 7 win prediction.
