I don't see it being too close. Their lack of speed and Worley will hold them back. They do seem like a dangerous team right now tho.

UT's O-line will crush Bama's front 7.

If we play a perfect game we still get beat by 3 touchdowns. I expect us to get worn down by the end of the game and get beat by around 30.

Does anyone think they will be able to run the ball with any success? I have only seen stat lines from the USC game.

35-7, Bama. Could end up being worse.

We have a talented enough offensive line to rush the ball, but our poor passing game will afford Bama the opportunity to stack the box. All things considered, we'll have trouble generating offense. Conversely, I think we can slow Bama's rushing attack, but we'll have a difficult time stopping the pass. I expect a lot of 3 and medium/long type conversions from the Tide.

SEC position rankings: Defensive line

Tennessee dominated the line of scrimmage against South Carolina. South Carolina has better O-line and D-line than Bama.

From what I have seen of Worley, Tennessee is going to get demolished. It's probably going to go about like the last 3 years (which were all 31 point Alabama victories I believe).

I think Alabama would have to make a lot of mistakes (e.g., turnovers) for it to be close.

If UT has 200 yards of total offense, they did a good job

Yep, our defense was staggering this past Saturday. Davis had one 50+ yard run, outside of that he was completely mitigated.

i think well probably get 120 or so yards on the ground. Our RB Neal has made some serious strides this season, and our O-line has really improved on run blocking in the new scheme. Marlin lane also has a good ability to put his head down and get 2 or 3 extra yards. We will neeed this. Also, we might pick up some more running yards on a sweep to our slot receiver Pig Howard. We've had some success with that play in the past

Obviously Bama will load up to stop the run...I just don't see Worley having enough throws in him to keep this game close. How has UT faired on short yardage situations this year? Do they ever go under center?

we had three 4th and ones in the UGA game and converted three of them with three entirely different plays. Our biggest problem honestly is getting into short yardage situations. We have way too many 3rd and longs

No idea. Logically I expect Bama to win big but this is a rivalry game and UT wants blood -- more than I've seen a team want it in a long time and more than this team wanted it at the start of the season. Tennessee is outgunned but they're also playing as single team. No stars but a genuine team - that's always dangerous. There's also no pressure on us to win but tons of desire which is another dangerous combo.

I'm hoping that AJ's remarks about not seeing it as a rivalry are how the entire Bama team feels. Tennessee's best chance is Bama feeling we're an automatic win. While I know Saban and Bama fans won't be caught looking ahead, a team filled with players who are used to beating us soundly may make that mistake.

I think that went out the window with your win last week

I expect it to be ugly. Earlier in the year CNS was using games to work on parts of his offense. I think he is satisfied, and now wants to work on the sum of the parts. I expect him to be able to take our starters out early again this week.

The defense is gonna miss Vinnie, but I don't think that much for this game. The D is playing so well I just don't see TN scoring many points. Weird shite happens on the field, but if none happens Saturday, I doubt we lose our #1 scoring defense rating.

This team hasn't shown any signs of taking other teams for granted. Probably not going to this week. Not much TN can do against a focused 2013 Bama team.

41-7
