This is merely a rumor going around but it was put out there by a pretty reputable guy who posts on of the pay sites. Could be bullshite, we'll see.

Firing Grantham during the season would surprise me. It's generally not the politically correct way our admins manage such things but McGarity might have successfully pitched the dire need. I guess we will find out soon enough. Regardless, I do hope Grantham finds another NFL job in the off-season. I like his style but he seems to still be in on the job training mode at Georgia. If he really wants to be a DC in college, he should probably take a DC job at a lesser school and become a serious student of that aspect of the game. I doubt if he will do that. He seems like the kind of guy who is frustrated with having to deal with college players and limitations in college having to deal with ongoing personnel changes.

I doubt this is true. I have nothing to base tthat doubt upon, but it seems to me like it would be bad for recruiting. I am not opposed to the move if it is true though.
