Anyone else feel like he should be used for an entire series rather than a random play here or there?

Yeah; Lashlee and Malzahn thought so. They said tonight that that wasn't the plan, it just happened. So I wouldn't expect it to be a regular thing.

Didn't like the way he was used.

But his 2 passes were terrible. One was to nobody and the other should have been picked off.

not really a game to experiment in. I am glad he was able to come in and do a few things to get a feel of one of the roughest environments in the country though.

I don't like using him when the game is on the line. I wouldn't mind to see him play the entire second half of FIU and Arky though

I understand why they burned his RS. There's a chance NM could go down. Maybe he can get some PT this week

Really? They've really struggled as of late. I think we can pull away if we play like we're capable..

UT on the other hand worries me in their stadium with those play making wr's they have.

No doubt the coaches saw that bringing him in killed momentum against TAMU.

I don't know how we should use him in the future other than getting him reps in games that are already in hand to build for the future.

I don't think they intended to use him one play and out but when the game is on the line and he botches the play, you can't keep him in.

I would love to see him used in the wildcat. His passing ability would do wonders for that formation.

Just give him the reigns for a series a half. The way they used him Saturday is awfully similar to KF circa 2011

I'm still convinced they burned it for his passing. Otherwise, burning it to kill a I-AA team we could've destroyed with Wallace and playing him a snap or two the rest of the way is beyond stupid.

That, and still lining up in the shotgun from the half-inch yard line. That will always piss me off. Fortunately, Marshall bailed us out with arguably his best throw of the game.

I'd rather we not use him at all unless Marshall is hurt. Either that or start him. You can't sit your Starting QB for a drive and expect either one to have any type of rhythm.

He should be used as a typical back up that plays when the starter is injured or during garbage time. Otherwise, he should be named the starter and play the whole game.

Quit fricking putting him in for no reason. Nick is our guy and needs every game rep to get better and JJ (at this point in his AU career) isn't bringing anything to the table that is better than what Nick offers.

I have been vocal that I did not want to see JJ in the game and still do not.

And that is nothing against JJ. I'm not sure why the RS was burned, but it was and JJ gives us an option if something happens to Nick and probably lets the coaches be more aggressive in letting Nick run. I'm not going to be critical of the coaches decision to burn the RS, but I do not want Nick out for 1 rep or 1 series unless he is hurt or needs a blow or we have the game well in hand.

Makes me wonder if during the process of deciding to burn the shirt, they told JJ he would play some and now they feel they owe it to him.
