I knew that Dennis Winston had been appointed but I don't know whether to view it as a good thing for him at this point. It appears to be a complete political mess. But I wish him success. I sure liked "Dirt" a lot when he played for the Hogs.

Funny, my dad was just talking about Winston last night & what a tough as shite & mean as hell player he was. Knocked a punter out cold against USC back in the 70's. Only got a personal foul penalty. Probably would've gotten thrown off the team these days.

Some of the best group of "characters and personalities" ever put together on one team through the mid and late 70's!! Only ones that might come close would be some old Yankee teams of the 60's, and some Oakland A's teams of the 70's..
