If Auburn beats either A&M or UGA, is Malzhan a shoe-in for COTY?

At this moment, both games are looking like they could be winnable as A&M forgot how to play defense and UGA has so many injuries. They would be 9-2 going into the Iron Bowl and most likely ranked in the top 15. This is of course coming off a 3-9 disaster in 2012.

Who else is even a candidate at this point? Art Briles? Sark?

ETA: I did forget about Pinkel.

They're bowl eligible and ranked. He's got it locked down.

I think it depends on how Ms.Zurri finishes out the season as to who wins COTY.

I don't really believe in Missouri especially with Franklin out, but y'all do bring up a good point.

I would vote for Malzhan, simply because he is winning in the West. But he has a ways to go.

If he makes a bowl that occurs after 12/31/13, I'd say he'd be a top candidate.

But I will say, Chizik won COTY, so I'd rather Malzahn just get rewarded with a pay raise.

The next couple of weeks will tell you if Pinkel deserves to be in consideration or not.

Baylor actually has a chance to win the Big 12. Auburn isn't winning shite. Maybe Malzahn can get coach of the SEC but coach of the year he is going to have to beat Bama.

By all means, forget about us. Don't spare Mizzou a thought. We like it that way.

2012: Johnny is going to get himself hurt if he keeps running like that, and Aggy is going to suck arse when that happens.

2013: Aggy cannot play defense. They suck and will lose against _____

Wonder what the wise rant will say about Aggy in 2014

It depends on whether Sulmin or JFF comes back. If both are gone no one will say anything once the season starts because making fun of them losing will get old after week 3 or 4.

That's nice. The hook is clearly visible, bruh.

Actually, Malzahn's got my vote now regardless of what Pinkel does. He's going to finish 8-4 at worst from a team that went 3-9 last year and, essentially, quit. He's got them fighting in every game, winning, and looking like a legit team again. He's done a great job.
