Ready to see Darius Philon play BAMA

I guess Bama has a different narrative for what happened. In Roll Bama Roll's (Bama SBN site) preview of the Arkansas defense, the author mentioned that Bama fans may remember Philon's name as he was one "who decommitted from Alabama, ultimately signing with Arkansas."

Uh, sure. He "decommitted" after finding out at his fricking signing ceremony that he didn't have a scholarship. Boy, what a selfish a-hole.

Would be great, but let's remember that he is a RS Freshman, and although Bama's line may not be up to recent standards, I imagine they are pretty good by now. That said, it would be great to see him get 3 sacks.

Guy got a raw deal considering the short time between NSD in which it took place. Yanked his offer, and stuck him with a greyshirt. There was no way he was gonna take that greyshirt, he wanted out of Mobile for supposed "bad crowd" reasons.

The irony of the situation:

1) Dalvin Tomlinson, a similar DL that signed in the same class and effectively pushed Philon out, injured his knee that April after NSD.

2) At the end of the day, "processing" had left a spot that would have been Philon's to enroll regularly.

If he tears Bama's OL up, Bama deserves it. Can't change the past, and while it hasn't hurt Bama, it could have been handled a lot better than it was.
