This ACC game has huge implications for the SEC. Fl St still has Florida at the end of the season and Miami currently at #10 in the AP while Clemson still has South Carolina at the end of the season.

Jameis Winston and Coach Dabo Swinney both are Birmingham born and Jimbo Fisher with ties to Birmingham having attended Samford kind of have me torn on who to pull for in this one.

However Jameis Winston is the real deal and will pull it out on the road.

Florida State 38
Clemson 34

Whichever team wins this game I think runs the table and is playing Oregon in the BCS if Bama gets beat down the road.

Samford is in Birmingham?

How?

The only thing interesting about this game is how far the loser falls in the polls next week.

I hope not. If Oregon is in the NCG I don't want to see us play either of these two teams. I hope they both take 1 loss and are knocked out of contention. We will beat them. I want to see Oregon play Alabama and take on the best in the nation. Anything less would be a travesty.

A 1 loss Alabama (losing only to LSU) and winning the conference championship will be in over FSU or Clemson. Alabama always gets 1 free loss per season. They can lose to LSU and still get in the championship. No other team really has that luxury.

Yes. I only know cause the wife is an allumus from there. She spent many weekends in the fall making the 3 hour drive to Oxford from BHAM.

Hmmm... I hate Clown College and Dabo about equal. I don't know who I want to lose more.

I guess Clemson because we at least get to take a (admittedly shaky) shot at FSU.

I feel like you started this thread and made an indirect connection just so you could bring our attention to this.

LSU needs FSU to win. I just don't see USCe pulling it out against Clemson. At least UF and Miami have a chance to give FSU their annual choke game.

Agree with this. We want Clemson to lose too, for the reasons stated above. Both of them taking a loss is good for the better teams with tougher schedules. I don't want to see Ohio St., Clemson or FSU sneaking into the title game because a top tier teams slips up once.

This just is not true at all.

a one loss sec champion is not getting in over an undefeated oregon, clemson, fsu or ohio state. it ain't happening. the human polls will not allow that to happen this year...book it.

I'm not even sure a 1 loss SEC champ would get in over an undefedted Baylor. LSU though IMO would have the best chance of that.

Ohio State's schedule should not qualify them to go to the NCG over a 1 loss SEC team. It might happen, but it's stupid if it does. I also think Clemson would not deserve the spot over a 1 loss SEC team. FSU might pull it off and Oregon would.
