No way. Donors and fans would be outraged.

Just passing the message.
@MarkyMark142 "There's a reason Boston hasn't expanded or changed their stadium. Tradition. Why fix what's not broken #DNF
To which Stricklin replied:
@stricklinMSU "They did change it. Hired Janet Marie Smith to oversee the renovation."
He was talking about LFL. He has since taken the tweet down.

He's talking about LFL, but he's not talking about taking it away.

While this at face value is preposterous, I fear that through these renovations, something bad is going to happen to LFL.
If they pave the outfield I will lose my mother fricking shite.

LFL is tradition. But it's a revenue nightmare.
Is the best and worst and the same time.

Yeah what would be bad about this and putting in a drainage system, and having a level surface to jack up the trailers on?
I've been lucky enough to be able to go to LFL a couple times last year for the first time, I love the people there and the great hospitality and the general unity of the entire place. It's not the skyboxes, not everyone there has a lot of money..and that's what makes it great. These people put their heart and soul into LFL and I just really really hope Stricklin treads lightly here.
I think they had some decent ideas come forth about what to do with our stadium and how to make LFL just a little better. But tweeting out what some idiot said about not knowing anyone there and how they want a place to go is just asinine.
(twitter's not working at my work so someone link if they want to)

If there is one thing I have learned about MSU fans is that they are willing to add credibility to any stupid rumor.
A naked homeless man with one tooth could yell that Mullen is getting fired tomorrow and someone would post asking if anyone has heard anything about it.
ETA: This is true about people from every fanbase. It just annoys me that MSU fans do it too.

I didn't go to any meetings, but I am 100% positive there is a way to keep LFL AND improve it.
As quaint as many of the structures are, there is a disaster out there just waiting to happen. I walked around looking at most of the structures during one of the Auburn games, and some of them can only be described as "ho... ly... shite...". If you have been there, you know what I am talking about.

Everything that has been said at these meeting are only ideas. No one has even hinted on what might be done. Personally, I think that if we can tweak anything to make the left field lounge slightly better or more presentable, we should do it, but without compromising the tradition. The entire area needs to be paved. There needs to be some restrictions and codes on the trailers. There needs to be a more uniform way of jacking up the trailers and there should be penalties for bad appearance. But mostly it should stay the same. I want to keep everything running smoothly so it doesn't ever end. If they don't start taking some safety measures, someone is gonna get injured and end it.

Absolutely nothing. I am not against upgrading it. Add some nice concrete walkways behind Center and Right, pave the road behind Left, and add some concrete pads for the rigs to be parked on. Just put some sod around said walkways and pads.
What I fear is that they will go in with asphalt and the entire LFL will end up looking like the underbelly of Vaught–Hemingway Stadium on the home side.

That's a dumb idea. That wouuld be a waste of sod because it would die the first weekend.

So you would rather have clay than asphalt?

Again, I'm not saying we don't need to pave some walkways and some level surfaces for the trailers but I just think it would take away from the aesthetics of the area to pave the entire place.

This has to be addressed. When I went with my parents as a high schooler, I'm pretty sure there was something that crashed in RF that had a bunch of Crawfish Boilers on it. Wasn't a good situation and if it happened today it would be a PR nightmare, which would probably end LFL as we know it.

This would be my overall sentiment. I would rather change it up a little than to lose it forever.

Look, dude, there's not enough room for paved walkways with sod on the side. YOu say that paving would ruin the aesthetics. How is that possible. Right now it's just a bunch of dirt.

I think we should put a ferris wheel in the LFL.
