I think Alabama, Tennessee, and LSU generally travel pretty well.

Alabama by a wide margin.

Most of the other "big 6" schools travel ok, except for Florida who doesn't travel well for some reason.

True. Them and Tennessee have always traveled well, whether they're winning a lot or not. LSU and Georgia are probably the next two. Auburn isn't too bad either. Like you said, basically the Big 6 with exception of Florida.

I like to think we travel pretty well considering some factors in there that a lot of these schools don't have such as a lack of history that has kept our fan base very un-national and the fact that we're on the edge of SEC territory and a lot of our fan base extends into NC / ACC country.

I feel like we have a good crowd to every game vs Eastern opponents (though we'll see vs Mizzou considering the distance) and bring a good crowd to some of the bigger Western games such as 'Bama, AU, and LSU.

LSU showing in Athens this year was extremely impressive. May be due to the fact that we rarely play there..

Most schools travel well to athens if for no other reason than we have $2 jagr bomb specials at certain bars and no covers unless a band is playing, in which case it's maybe a dollar or two.

How'd we compare to other schools in the number of fans we brought to Athens?

Been to every home game since 2010. 'Bama had the most fans by a wide margin (left early for some reason though... ).

A&M had the most fans in Tuscaloosa that I can remember in a while. Penn State probably had the most I've personally seen in 2010

No way they had a wide margin over the UGA / Clemson crowds.

All 3 sold out all the designated away sections, besides that its not so easy to pick out 'Bama and UGA fans in the home crowd.

Bama and Auburn are the 2 I've always felt brought the most to Baton Rouge. We took over Tuscaloosa in 09 and Knoxville in '11 when I went. I expect big LSU in Oxford this weekend where I'll be as well

I think he was talking about fans in general that just come to town on gameday.

yeah, Tennessee had a ton of fans at Tiger Stadium for their first year under Dooley. Didn't have a very good team, but they traveled well.
