This is what will happen. All these Tea Party people that got elected with some anti-Obamacare grass roots movement will start to get calls from every fortune 500 CEO, and every person that has some sort of power in the conservative ideology, and they will find out there is not a chance in hell they will get re-elected if they let us default.

They got those calls a long time ago. They'll just wait until the last second to give in.

Yup. Let the market tank 500 points tomorrow. A deal will be in place the next day (or even same day) that kicks the can down the road again.

Well, I personally do not hope the global economy gets wrecked.

Anyway, doesn't matter. Those who are cheering for another massive recession lose tomorrow. Senate will pass a bill, House will take what it gets and it will be done tomorrow most likely.

Markets are getting nervous and talk of a downgrade tomorrow has scared the piss out of the morons in Washington, so this circus is about over. For now.

The answer is "no."

If anyone knew anything on the topic they would already know we are not going to default regardless if there is a deal or not.

No because even if we hit our debt ceiling we won't default. We bring in enough tax revenue to meet our obligations...it would just force 25% spending cuts across the board.
