Heading to Ole Miss this weekend and saw the new map for gameday parking. Has anyone made the trip this year and if so any advice of how to park reasonable close? We were looking to setup a small tailgate but that's not really possible if we take a shuttle.

Thanks in advance.

The parking operation was designed and is operated by the Mississippi State Engineering Department. Calling it a "cluster ----" is way too nice.

They will let you use University to access the Grove, but, if you aren't in on the landrush Friday night, then I think you are out of luck. I don't know what their rules are on tailgating elsewhere (you do see a few random tents on other parts of the campus), but they are cracking down on jumping curbs and blocking sidewalks.

The Grove experience seems to be all about paying someone else to set up and tear down a tailgate consisting only of sandwiches and other finger food, along with drinks. There are pros for hire that do this in Oxford. If you aren't using those guys, it's probably not very feasible to try to do it yourself.

It's absolutely shitty this year. There's no other way to put it. It won't be like this again because the ADA has been on Oxford's arse about traffic and parking. The City of Oxford is about to tell Ole Miss "GFY" on this whole parking pass mess. So it's going to force the university to let people back on campus next year.

I sincerely apologize to all other fan bases that have had to deal with this. It's absolute bullshite and embarrassing.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like yall are confirming the mess of parking there. Maybe we can just ride the shuttle all day and tailgate on there.

You can drive into campus and drop your gear off near the grove but someone will have to take one for the team and drive out to park. The earlier you do this the better.

If there is a spot you want to tailgate in, you can just move whatever tent is already there and set your tailgate up.

Park away from campus and make the hike. It's Oxford. The longest walk is still like 10-15 minutes. Hope you aren't fat

Well the good news is I'm not fat. I should have been more specific in the my original posts. We are looking for suggestions of off-campus lots with some grass area to tailgate. If that exists.
