Get off on Airline and go due North......ride until you reach Utopia
Wait, I can't do this to you. Anything around LSU would be good. Siegen and Bluebonnet area is fine to, if you don't want to stray far off of Interstate.
I'd say your BEST bet is to get off on College and hop on to Coporate. Lot's of nice places on this strip.

take I-110 and get off at the hollywood exit and just park and walk. Lots of stuff to do there.

Have no clue what part of BR you are in. Downtown and the entire LSU area might be what you are looking for.
One of my favorite restaurants while I was at LSU was Sammy's. If you were looking for a late lunch to go with that beer, maybe try there.

Would this be a part of town where there are lots of truck stops? Went to BR in high school for a baseball tournament and we stayed our first night in town at a Shoney's Inn next to an adult store (maybe called Candy's?). Seemed like a pretty seedy part of town, but that was all cleared up when someone asked the pizza delivery guy if it was a bad part of town and he said, "Not really, just a lot of truckers and hookers around here"
