1. Points allowed in the first quarter.

A trend for our defense is to give up yards in the first quarter, make adjustments, then shut teams down. We need our defense to come out strong and our offense to stay composed if LSU does score quickly. If LSU doesn't score 10+ quickly in the first we will be able to run our offense according to plan. This brings me to point 2..

2. Time of Possession

Controlling the clock will keep LSU's D on the field and their O off the field. We need long, time consuming drives that result in points. UF is #1 in the country in time of possession so we have a great opportunity in this area.

3. Special Teams

If special teams doesn't get their act together, they will lose a game for us this year. Christy is 113th in the nation punting and Hardin hasn't looked confident. We can't miss <40 yards yard FGs this game; we need every point. Additionally, we need to give LSU long fields to drive so Christy needs to come through for us. If they both struggle this game, it could cost us.

If we limit the points in the 1st quarter, control the clock, and the kicking game comes through for us I believe we win 28-24.

I agree with all 3.

But UF could do all 3 fairly well and still lose.

I think UF has to jump on LSU early.
