Fifty-eight percent of the people who sit in Husky Stadium's donor sections are Washington alumni, compared with 43% at Alabama and 39% at Oregon.

What an odd thing to bring up.

It's like that all over the country. I imagine LSU's percentage is in the neighborhood with Oregon's. Lots of people grow up as a fan for a certain school and end up going to school elsewhere for a variety of reasons.

That article was perhaps the most pompous, self-righteous thing I've ever read. Wow.

That's kind of unfair, I'm sure a lot of college graduates leave the state of Alabama for work or to just leave the state.
Washington people staying in Seattle makes sense, it's an awesome big city with high paying jobs.

Their nicknames aren't Bubba.

Kenyon said he wasn't sure whether Washington could ascend to that level again, but even the longtime booster doesn't live and die with what happens on the field. Seattle isn't the South. "My nickname's not Bubba," he said.

That's likely the case with most schools. It's really not thread worthy.

Most college title contenders toil in rural towns with few distractions and little else to holler about. They play in front of fans who are ambivalent about off-field shenanigans and in some cases, academics. Husky fans seem to see themselves differently—at least this time around. If they're going to win football titles, they're going to do it without compromising their dignity.

Maybe so. Don't you think that money would be better invested in teeth though?

I'm not so sure if this is a knock on Bama or just the average fan with a family and priorities.
