Was going to put this on the rant but figured I could get just as much help here, and am also going to send WG an email as well.
So any way I was just wondering what suggestions y'all have for me this football Saturday in Athens. I'm looking to be tailgating with about 20 other Mizzou folks and I think we are looking to try and set up a tailgate around 6, any suggestions of places to try. Secondly what are the bars some 25-35 year olds need to hit, I want to get the full Athens effect. So any college bars I need to hit would be ideal. Lastly on food in Athens what suggestions do y'all have.

You can't set up until 7. The whole town is full of bars, good food, and music. I hate to try sending you in one direction, so just enjoy it all. With a noon kickoff you will have plenty of time afterwards to bar hop around downtown.

Edit: thanks ameicus, I guess we were setting the bar a little too high for our tailgating start too considering we will be out late Friday. Maybe I just won't sleep Friday

Yeah they changed it a few years back. It is on Campus, so I guess it is for the best

If you are trying to set up on campus, it's a 5 hour before kickoff rule, hence the 7 am comment.
Are you actually going to try and tailgate on campus or do you want to be with your vehicle(s) like an actual "tailgate"?

I'm confused...there are plenty of places on campus to tailgate by your vehicle?

Also, the 5 hour rule, i thought, only applied to north campus, no cars, thought that was all implied by the discussions

The 5 hour rule applies only to north campus. Everywhere else on campus you are allowed to set up at 7am (although that's probably a little more lax since the only gestapo is at north campus), it just so happens with a noon game that both scenarios are 7am.
Where I park, I get there about 6:45am and people in my lot already have tents, chairs, coolers, etc out and set up. I think the only real hard and fast rule is the 5 hour north campus. OP's situation will all just depend on where he goes.
