How good is he? I know, it's a simple question that's not so easy to answer.

I'll give you a little bit of background on what I know and what I don't.

I know that on the 7v7 circuit last summer and at the FSU camp, white outperformed Hargreaves 1v1.

White came in and took a starting corner spot from a third year player by the second game and has started for us since. White came in for fall camp though and it took a bit to get up to speed I guess.

Was Hargreaves an EE? I heard he got a pick in each of your first three games, and that is incredible. Did he not apply himself fully to football training during the recruiting process?

I'm just wondering if its fair to say white and Hargreaves are at about the same skill level? Or has vernon done something to cause him to explode even more? They were very close a year ago, but I don't know when he got on campus for y'all.

Maybe a better comparison for Hargreaves is Rashard Robinson? He showed up on campus two weeks into this season, and he is probably going to start at cb opposite of white vs UF.

Are these the best three frosh corners in the nation?

He won the mvp at the all star game on ESPN.

Targeted 22 times
Allowed five catches
Five break UPS, three picks. No pass more than ten yards.
Zero missed tackles
Three of the allowed passes were in zone, man he has allowed two total.

Yes. There is a very legitimate argument he is already one of the best corners in the country. He is better than purifoy or roberson, preseason all conference corners who will be drafted first or second round most likely.

I assure you. Watch him play, and you will have no doubt. Watch the "defense wins muschampionships" on YouTube and watch the tenn and Miami games. Watch him. You will be shocked.

He's a lockdown corner. Best in the SEC.

As a freshman.

Dude probably has more INT's than passes caught against him.

I know he is exceptionally good, I remember him being just as good of a wr too.

I'm just looking for a measuring stick for white and Robinson.

Also, I personally think he kind of took it easy on the camp circuit, or didn't train full time, or something just clicked.

Don't take it the wrong way, he's very good. We'll attack him. I hope he makes a few freshman mistakes.

Comparing another freshman corner to hargreaves isn't fair to them. shite comparing haden when he was a rookie wouldn't have been fair. Dude makes no mistakes It's why we droll over the guy.

He's gonna be a stud. He plays beyond his years. It will get to the point soon where teams may try to attack Roberson and Purifoy very soon. He just stays on a man. He has allowed the inside slant catch sometimes but he doesnt allow YAC. He is the definition of a ball hawk

7 on 7? C'mon man.

Coverage wise, he is an ace.

Y'all are c'mon manin me but I'm.not so sure we don't have comparable talent finally emerging at cb ourselves.

I'm complimenting you guys and trying to fill in some blanks I had on Vernon.

I say we'll attack him because I know boom will have him on an island, not because he is a weakness.

Roberson and Purifoy

Is Roberson's knee good now? I saw that Purifoy for his first INT of his career vs Arkansas. Kinda surprised that was his first.

No word yet. He came out with the team saturday for warmups but was a no go. I'm guessing he will be back this week but may be 3rd behind VH3 and Purifoy. On Loucheiz he has not been himself yet. he's gotten burned a few times this season. Maybe the fact that the Freshman has been getting all the pub and has 3 picks made Purifoy from last season come back. Although Arky's QB was horrible it might just help his psyche out.

You don't.

I'm sure LSU has good young talent in the secondary, but VHIII is already the best cover CB in the SEC and has the potential to be one of the best ever. No hyperbole.

Patrick Peterson is the best cornerback since Deion and nfl trainers who have trained both, and even PP himself says Robinson is better now than he was then.

He trained against nfl receivers until the second week of the season when the NCAA finally cleared him. Hell be all over the field Saturday.

Hargreaves is elite, all American talent. We have comparable frosh.

I sat at Tropicana Field in St Petersburg last winter and watched personally every move Hargreaves made on the field and also got to be pretty darn close to him in pregame to size him up.
He will be top 5 pick and thank God he is a frosh. He will be AA frosh this year and AA period the next two. This kid is for real and his instincts are natural. He works hard and knows he has a gold mine ahead of him if he stays out of trouble.
Any qb considering targeting him has poor decision making skills or wrong info. Any DC can plainly see what every damn novice sees on the field. He will pick you off if you make a small mistake.

Hargreaves was the best football player from last years class and it isn't close. A top flight athlete with instincts and ball skills.

I'm sorry, but white isn't on his level. Athletically maybe, but he isn't the football player that vh3 is right now

He's better than Janoris Jenkins if that gives you something you might be able to compare it to.
