Georgia's defense is young and giving up alot of points. Granted, three of those teams were top ten teams.

Gurley should be playing, ankle sprains can linger though, but Marshall is likely out for the season. Our #3 and #4 running backs are good, but both are true freshman that weren't exactly highly recruited.

Of course our star receiver went out with ACL tear in the first game, and the guy that stepped up to take over that role, Justin Scott-Wesley, went out with a knee injury yesterday. It it unknown how serious it is.

Then, our slot receiver, Michael Bennett, who led our team in receptions and yards last year, before going down with an ACL tear exactly one year ago, went down again yesterday. It is unknown how serious his injury is.

Georgia has two fantastic tight ends, but they haven't been utilized much this year, which is somewhat surprising.

So far every week this year, some starter has gotten hurt in practice and missed the following game. Who will it be this week?

Would seriously love to see a Mizzou W vs UGA...but would much rather earn that win against a healthy Dawg team!

In some sense this is lose lose for us. If we win everyone will blame Georgia injuries and won't look at this as a legitimate win. If we lose, to a good UGA team regardless of injuries, we will lose everything we have worked for this season. People will say we "are not the real deal" we lost to a hurting UGA team and cannot compete in the SEC.

Of course winning is the better loss, but still sucks knowing what people will say.

You said it in a nutshell!

It will be a W with an asterisk, or a big L...in the eyes of many SECranters.

We just need to TCB!

Agree. That's how it will be spun win or lose.

But.. if we go in and hang 48+ points on them and really dominate them like we did Vandy, then it could be different.

If we lose a one score game then I do not think that is losing everything we have fought for. Georgia is a darn good football team. If we win, still unbeaten with a win against a then top 10 team. The ONLY thing that will be a stinging loss is losing big and not even looking like we belong. This offense is head and shoulders better than they were last year. We have a punchers chance.

Hope you're right, OP. Before yesterday's Mizzou and UGA games, I gave us about a 5% chance of taking one between the hedges. I'd guess that it stands at about 25% now....

I could give a shite what people will say. I'd gladly take a W in Athens, any way we can get it.

Not everyone here thinks Mizzou is sub par I for one don't. We have played y'all and its for the most part been a good game. I think y'all will do well here just might take a few years of recruiting to get better.

The real world isn't like the Rant. We'll take some crap even if we win in Athens if Georgia is playing at half strength. But we'll get real-world props.

I'll take that all day every day. Cuz the sun don't set in cool town.

But your at home. Thats a big momentum lifter for a team not to mention one with injuries. I still think Georgia is as dangerous as ever.

Mizzou, at least to me is still unproven. Yeh they ran up 51 points on the road but it was Vandi. They still gave up 28 points to.....Vandi.

I think this next game will still be a good measuring stick as to where they are as far as Mizzou's ability to control the line of scrimmage. If they can do well against Georgia in this area, think they can play with about anyone. If not........

I don't get you guys pessimism. So what if vandy scored 28 on us. They scored 25 on south Carolina and 35 on Mississippi. All they were doing against us was hurling the football and hoping for the best while trying to catch up. I really not sure why you guys are not being more supporting the team and saying how they can win

Opposed to you all keep saying how we will be lucky to win. I for one am disappointed in other Mizzou fans.

Hey man I'm just trying to be realistic, there's no reason to act like Vandy was a bunch of world beaters. Do I think we have a shot? Absolutely, but I also think that UGA definitely has more talent than us and could beat us by 14+.

All that being said I will be there, and I need to prepare myself to still party and have fun even if we do lose.

One team is a top 10 team for a reason. Give them some respect. I am certain every Mizzou fan here will be pulling hard for them to win but we had plenty of occasions last year when no respect was given to the opponent. UGA is the better team on paper and according to those putting money on the game. Mizzou has a solid chance to upset UGA but it will be just that, an upset.

Ummmm, get real. Yes, we will be lucky to win. Vandi is not Georgia, not even on the same continent. We do support the team, even through the inagural season. How can they win? Recruit better, coach better, expect and take nothing less than victory and a title game. Not some low rent bowl birth.

How do you think Mizzou can beat Georgia?
