If you are asking because you think it will affect Hampton, then no. Clark has nothing to do with Hampton's spot. Hampton is a FS and Clark would be a SS.
However, if you are asking just out of curiosity due to his size, I would say probably. But not in the general sense of a safety. Seeing as how Alabama plays nickel or dime most of the time, we utilize safeties in LBer and CB spots. So technically he could be playing safety but in a LBers place.

Tim Watts from BOL has said that UA wants 3-4 safeties in this class. We have one committed in Chris Williams, but he has SERIOUS grade issues.
I think Bama would make room for Clark, Hootie, Hall, and Hampton.
