Trust me he is the BEST evaluater in the country.

I am not saying Mullen is a good recruiter...but kind of a dumb way to evaluate if someone is a good recruiter or not. Plenty of school's outside of the SEC that would make up a solid offer sheet.

Truuu but SEC is recruiting head and shoulders above all other conferences. MSU would have a top 5 class in the big12

It's also not fair because he's recruiting at state.

I did not say it was unfair, just a small piece of the picture.

And that is why it is stupid to decifer who is a better running QB based on stats
I agree with this, which is why I said what I said to begin with.
However, I believe that JFF is not just a great pure runner, but more of a play extender. Buys time getting out of impossible situations that others couldn't. Not necessarily getting the tough yard on 4th and 1.

It'd be nifty if we could talk about the actual topic instead of our back-ups QBs. Does Staley still have an offer?
Yes, will graduate high school in December, given one online class checks out. He will play with the basketball team for the rest of the season and then go through spring ball with the football team.

Reasonable minds could disagree about what makes someone a "pure runner." I love watching guys like Earl Campbell, Craig "Ironhead" Heyward, and Mike Alstott run the ball. But I think that being able to truck defenders is just one factor. I don't know what Manziel runs in the forty, but he has excellent field vision and he changes direction quickly. He's obviously been doing pretty well with what he has.
Jared Lorenzen could probably pick up a first down on 4th and 1 on a regular basis. No one would consider him a pure runner.

Very true. I was only trying to point out the different styles of the two players and that stats may not tell the whole story.
