He's looked great the past few games and he's only a freshman. He'll be a force for us

You could argue that the D-line is better with him and Thomas in instead of Jones and Thomas

potentially the best interior defensive lineman we have seen at Arkansas since I can't even remember. I can't remember a freshman interior lineman that looked this good. We've heard alot about the potential of our dlines in past few years that never materializes. Some of them have been good against the run but never do we have a guy that can constantly penetrate. If Philon continues to progress from what we have seen so far then 2Bs 3rd year could be special.

Guys like him will allow us to recruit faster, 225-230lb LBs....he draws a double team, or he will in the coming years...DeMarcus Hodge has done well when called upon this year as well.

We just have to get Otha developed, get Martrell to know all the reads, and have a 3rd LB emerge and we will be a good front 7 next year.

Secondary.....well.....we need help

I'm excited about Toliver, Kweishi Brown and DJ Dean in regards to the future of our secondary

To be a consistent contender in the SEC, we have to keep the likes of him coming.

I'm hoping Shannon can get Brooks Ellis to be that guy.

They put a chip on his shoulder I hope he keeps. I'm ready to see him wreck shite against Bama.

He's looked like our best DT so far this season, IMO. Love his demeanor on the field, too. What a gift we got there.

I agree. You barely hear Jones name lately. Philon should start alongside Thomas.

Yes, he had surgery for a torn meniscus. LINK
