Am I the only one who thinks our secondary will be the strength of the defense as the season plays out? I know Evans and Johnny Football had their way with us, but I just see too much talent in our secondary for Bama not to be dominant. I just personally think once more blitz packages are used, we will see our corners play more in their natural element which is man coverage. Just my opinion, I guess.

Our DB's wont be the only force on our Defense, we'll be fine... we will perform as a unit, we get players back from injury..

im just nervous about the Ole Miss and LSU Offenses

their Defenses our subpar compared to ours

we should really be worried about our offense anyway too much talent and too many weapons to let it go to waste

The only quality player in our secondary right now is HCD.

For some reason, I'm not afraid of LSU's offense. They are talented and their QB has made strides under the new OC, but I just feel like our athletes are better than theirs.

Yeah, him and the guy who has two pick sixes in three games.

Your post was stupid.

They don't scare me either. Mett is a statue back there. I think we may finally have the guys who can put some serious pressure on him unlike last year.

I think A'shawn Robinson will be a monster by that point in the season.

Agreed and will only get better as he gets more reps. He is a great tackler for his position and the athleticism/skill is obviously there.

Vinnie, Jarrick, Belue, and Landon have all played well enough to be considered quality players. IMO, all have been above average SEC players.

^ Jarrick too, almost forgot about him.

Belue has played well, when he's played, as well. I just hope his injury doesn't linger and cause his performance to fall off.

Give me a break. The pick against aTm came off a tip and fell into his lap. Sunseri is average at best when he isn't blitzing or stepping up in run support.

So you are saying that if you take away the things that he is best at, then he is an average player? Awesome reasoning.

And dont give me the "oh the pick came right to him." He was in good position and the made the fricking plays.

If you truly believe that hcd is our only quality db, then you must be an Auburn fan.

Vinnie is an undersized linebacker trying to play safety. It wouldn't be that bad if most of the teams we play are run the ball a ton, but they don't. Belue never has any clue where the ball is. I've lost count of how many balls go right over his shoulder. I think Collins will be good, but Saban won't play him over Sunseri. I think we would be better both now and in the future if Collins were to start over Sunseri.

That was last year. He's played better this year.

The only spot I worry about in our secondary is the second CB spot.

Vinnie was bad last year. He's been an impact player this year. Will he struggle at times in coverage this year? Yes but I'm willing to keep an open mind as long as he continues to play well overall.

I believe I saw one go right by his head against VT. The WR may or may not have caught it, but he still had no idea where it was.

No CB is perfect. Dee Milliner gave up the game winning TD last season at A&M. Belue is rarely out of position, and this was true even last year. He has shown improvement in an albeit small sample size this season.

The guys mentioned may not be elite, but they are definitely quality players at the SEC level.
