Watch a Vanderbilt play absolutely snap and James Franklin's speech to his team after a dismal first half against UMASS.

THIS IS NOT YOUR USUAL locker room adjustment session.

First half: Vandy Scores 2 times.
Half-time: motivational speeches.
Second half: Vandy scores 2 times.

He's so happy because he knows losses are on the horizon.

Yes, they reeled off 17 in the second half, against UMASS. Looked like Oregon.

Inspirational speeches mean shite.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

Smartass comments aside, there's a whole lot of "real" in that video. I loved that.

Anybody who's ever played knows what those locker rooms are like in those types of "closer than they should be" games. Just goes to show you how much intensity you have to have to play. You start feeling more resistance than you thought you would and it takes a lot of energy and effort and emotion to turn it around. I guarantee you Georgia had the same feeling against North Texas last weekend. They had to exert some energy to turn that game around.

So for all that inspiration, they scored four more points?

True, we all love to be assholes on here behind our computers criticizing everything, but in reality that was pretty cool to see that emotion.

I can watch my toddler pitch a fit, but its just a fit.

Unless he changes something, it will just be a fit tomorrow. I suppose some folks think grown people pitching fits is cool, maybe they are.

But winning comes from execution and dominance, not emotion. shite, I have seen tiger stadium go from loud to silent in three plays. Emotion is temporary.

Okay. Sometimes emotion is still needed. If you ever played sports you would know this and you would identify with what was going on in the locker room there.

Didn't click.

Don't need a video to solidify my opinion that Franklin is a giant tool.
