Personally, I'll believe it when I see it. I've seen this movie too many times - and a win Saturday isn't at all what I'm expecting. BUT - I think the possibility of winning is at least realistic this year - albeit with Bama playing terribly and the Rebs playing mistake free. Freeze is slowly building this program up to be able to compete on a yearly basis, and while he team is much better this year, this probably isn't the year...

What are your scenarios for a Bama loss?

(Sorry to discuss football here)

I think you answered the question already:

Have a shot? Sure. We're not a bad team.

Will we win? I highly doubt it.

Unfortunately no. Id love it if ole miss pulled it off but i keep thinking of vandy scoring 35 on ole miss and it scares me to think what bama will do to the ole miss D

Bro will throw his first INT of the season Saturday. I just hope it stops at one.

at least most observers believe you have a realistic chance of doing it. most years no one believes you'll be in it.

the Rebs will be up for the game - will the Tide? this could be a big factor.

I would figure they would, since the only other game they have to get up for is LSU. But if they come out flat, all bets are off!

Ole Miss gave up 35 to Vandy with one player, and 23 to Little McCoy. No realistic shot

As to why we can win, we're solid against the run and Bama has struggled to run the ball. We have a solid WR corps and their corners have given up some big plays downfield. The O-line has improved drastically. I like the matchups in the slot with Treadwell, Engram, and Logan against some of Bama's bigger LBs.

But McCarron will probably have a Heisman performance against our crappy secondary. Wommack hasn't blitzed nearly as much as he did last year for whatever reason and we haven't gotten nearly as much pressure as we did last year. The moment is too big for some of our young kids.

Bama 35
Ole Miss 14

Absofrickinglutely they do. We are struggling
and unless they start playing with more heart and learing their blocking assignmenst I see another 2010 season on the distant horizon. Still, nothing wrong with 10-2 though

Please step back and weight the cost of what you are saying. You can't imagine how horrible OM posters will be after sucking through the Nutt years. They will be aTm posters x 1000. Bama needs to be taken down a notch, sure. But You need a fanbase capable of handling that.

I don't think Bama has to play terribly for us to win, though we do have to play our best game if they don't.

With both teams playing their best games, Bama probably wins by 10 or so, with our probability of a win being, gut feeling, somewhere around .10 to .2. If we play our best game and Bama comes out flat (not playing terribly, but not their best either), I'd say our probability of a win jumps to around .4 to .55.
