Fun fact: UCF is 1-0 all time against Bama and 1-1 against Georgia with the win coming in the 2010 Liberty Bowl

This UCF HC already beat UGA a couple years ago. They also had a bye week to prepare for it, just like us.

We lost to UCF in the 2010 Liberty Bowl.

I don't find that very fun.

UCF played Texas at home a few years back when Texas had 10 win seasons and almost beat them. Tough road game for USC and a no win type situation.

Also played Mizzou pretty tough at home last year.

Hows their run D? I can see Davis and Shaw having big days.

Better than the pass D. Our corners are garbage. Shaw will be able to pass at will. Hopefully the UCF offense can match

Maybe the biggest game in UCF's short major CFB history. Only other game that comes close is the previously mentioned Texas opener in 2007 which came down to the wire.

Bortles is the real deal, he's a big, mobile QB with an NFL arm and plenty of talent around him. SC's size and speed up front on defense should make things uncomfortable for him though. USC is going to put up some points on that defense so UCF will have to score in the 30's to have a shot. Think it will be a good game but UCF comes up short, 34-24.

Any SC fans making the trip? Are they supposed to be bringing a good crowd?

I know it's not as bad as them but it's still UCF. And nah, we were in Atlanta. Boise has trouble finding people who wanna go to Idaho and Georgia wasn't gonna be one of them. We also had them in Athens in 2005.

My bad. Colorado is such a good road trip compared to UCF. We made this road trip for recruiting reasons. No, we probably didn't think UCF would be as good, but there are some benefits to playing in Orlando unlike losing in Boulder.

I'd say I'm worried, better come out with our A game otherwise UCF may pull off the upset. I wonder how many ESPN experts will pick that as their upset.

No, not worried at all. At least I'm not, I'm sure there are some other less confident Gamecock fans who might be - but I do believe most of us are not, in the least, worried.

We'll have a huge contingent there, many going just to do a mini vacation in Orlando, but there are tons of SC alumni down there as well.

We've faced their big NFL QBs before and still beaten them ... we played Culpepper both times he was there when they had their previous "team of the decade."

They are certainly touting this as their biggest game in history down there. It's going to be their first nationally televised home game in their history, a 12 noon start on ABC.

Losing is a possibility (not a probability) but us only scoring 14 is not possible.

They are 0-3 all time against SCAR, they'll be 0-4 come Saturday afternoon.

Once you've witnessed your team go 0-11 you don't have this thing called being worried.

I'm really not worried about UCF. If our defense comes to play they're fricked.

I wouldn't say worried. If we do what we are supposed to do, we should win comfortably.

I am glad it is a noon game instead of a night game. That should hopefully tame the atmosphere a bit.

FYI UCF is in that new American conference that gets a BCS berth I believe so UCF is no longer a mid major. And their student body is bigger than a good number of SEC schools. With that said we should win but it's a dangerous game no doubt. Apparently this is their first ever network televised game and they're sold out so the crowd will be pumped for sure.

This. If we lose, we'll never hear the end of it (regardless of how good UCF actually ends up being) and if we win, no one will notice/care.

UCF is one of those teams that USCe should beat without too much trouble and probably will. However, they are dangerous enough that if they catch you on an off day and get a couple of breaks, things could go bad.
