I fully expect to lose to Wisconsin. The Kansas, Memphis, and UConn games will be tough but we'll be capable of winning them.

Then that will make UF a 4-5 seed. College basketball is stacked this year...a bunch of good teams, nothing like last year.

Kentucky, Mich State, Duke, Kansas, Louisville and UNC (when Hariston stops being a thug) are going to tough to beat this year.

Anybody know how good they are supposed to be. Thinking of heading up for their game @VCU.
Go Rams.

Going 2-2 in those four games, winning the other nine non-conference games, going about 13-5 in conference, and a good showing in the SECT (let's say a loss in the finals) would put us at 26-7 with one of the toughest schedules in the country. That'd get us a 2 seed imo.

I think we'll be better than UNC at full strength. Not buying them.

Not sure about them this year. I know they make you dizzy with all the cutting though.

Go Rams for sure. I'm from that area.

Whenever Donovan decides he's done at UF, Shaka needs to be the first guy Foley calls.

He's like 45-46, he could be there 20 more years and still not be retirement age.

I agree, but I really hope not. I would only want him to leave for LSU. My friends and family up there didn't like me saying I wanted Shaka to replace Trent. I spent a little time at VCU so I always want them to do well after LSU. Thinking I will enjoy basketball season between the 2.

48. He's been there for forever. Think about this.... he started at Florida when Dale Brown was still the coach at LSU.

I don't think Grant would've been a failure at UF. He's not an elite coach but certainly isn't a bad one.

Shaka is elite, though.

I think grant is just average. Maybe a little above. Shaka is a great one. I wish Brad Stevens had stayed in college. I don't see the NBA working out well for him but I guess you never know. I thought for sure he was coach in waiting of Duke.

Why would Shaka go to LSU? No flame. Does he have any ties to the school? He's turned down some pretty good jobs to stay at VCU.

I don't think going 13-5 in the SEC will get you a 2 seed.

he wouldn't. he means he wouldn't want Shaka at a place like UF or some other team we have to play

I don't know that Johnny Jones is an elite coach but I also don't think you need one to win in CBB. What he has done is stir some excitement among fans and recruits. If John Brady can take a team to the Final 4 then I don't think its THAT tough (though I don't think Brady was nearly as bad as some LSU fans want you to believe)

I really have no place to talk because we don't draw many fans to our games, but maybe he wants to play in front 1,500 rowdy LSU fans.
