Before the season, I started a "predict Gameday location" thread. Now that we are about a month into the season, we have a better idea of who is good, who is not, and where ESPN will go in the coming weeks.

October 5: There are 2 games this week between currently ranked opponents: Washington at Stanford, and Ohio State at Northwestern. The ABC night game is the OSU/NW game. There appear to be several other chances to go to Palo Alto later on in the year. Prediction: Evanston, IL

October 12: Oregon/Washington is a possibility. This is also Oklahoma/Texas and Florida/LSU weekends, but highly unlikely that those games are big enough. Ole Miss hosts A&M. Both teams should be ranked. JFF versus upstart Rebels. Prediction: Oxford, MS

October 19: 3 games to choose from here. If they pass on Ole Miss the prior week and the Rebels win, and LSU wins against Georgia and Florida, that could be the choice, but highly unlikely all of that happens. Florida State goes to Clemson and UCLA goes to Stanford. They have already been to Clemson, and I think they will pass on Stanford the prior chance, but not this time. Prediction: Palo Alto, CA.

October 26: Penn State at Ohio State is the night ABC game. UCLA goes to Oregon. I think this rides on the prior week. If they go to Clemson, then I think Eugene is a shoe in. If they go to Stanford, then they might balk at doing a UCLAgame (albeit 2 road games) 2 weeks in a row. The hell with it...UCLA/Oregon should be a much better game. Prediction: Eugene, OR

November 2: 2 games featuring currently ranked teams: Miami at Florida State, and the Cocktail party. Who knows where Florida will be at this point. FSU has Winston and Miami is coming back from the doldrums. Prediction: Talhassee, FL

November 9: LSU/Bama weekend. The closest competitor is Nebraska at Michigan, and both of those teams are pointing down at the moment. Prediction: Tuscaloosa, AL.

November 16: There is nothing that stands out this week. Florisa is at South Carolina, Michigan is at Northwestern. Texas tech visits Baylor. If Baylor keeps up what they are doing, they might get a visit. Prediction: Waco, TX

November 23: A&M goes to Baton Rouge this week. Baylor is also at Oklahoma State. If A&M or LSU regress in the coming weeks, and ESPN doesn't to Waco the prior week, they could go to Stillwater. That's the only scenario I see them not going to BR. The best game of the rest is Arizona State at UCLA. Prediction: Baton Rouge, LA.

November 30: If you take current rankings, the best game of this week is actually Clemson at South Carolina. But, there is also Ohio State at Michigan and ND at Stanford. Ordinarily, they go to the OSU/Mich game unless theres a really good reason not to. I think it all coems down to how Stanford, OSU, and Michigan play the rest of the year. Prediction: Ann Arbor, MI.
