Yes, apparently they have both announced that they are going to commit next week to Arkansas. Gamecock Nation is in meltdown mode....

Coach Ward just went to their game on Friday. They woke up Saturday and said there was a big announcement coming Saturday night on their twitter accounts. Then today, they decommit.
I think there are several plausible scenarios to what happened:
1. Ward went to the game b/c he heard they were wavering before anyone and tried to get them back, but failed.
2. Ward went to their game, they asked "why are you still recruiting other guys for our positions?" They didn't like his answer.
3. Ward, Green and Key hatched a super secret plan to help recruit more star players to SC by having them decommit until NSD.
4. Ward, Green, and Key realized that the limited class size had produce a slow period in Gamecock recruiting, so they hatched a plan to spice things up for the benefit of the pay sites.
maybe not all of those are plausible, but it's September and NSD is a long ways away.

There's been some chatter that Kentucky has had some contact with Key, but haven't heard much about Green.

A commitment from Green could happen soon to the Gamecocks. Heard the coaches worked out whatever issues they had with him.... Only time will tell.
