SEC vs. BCS AQ league OOC (* indicates currently ranked team):

South Carolina*-UNC: WON
Miss. St.-Okla. St*.: LOST
Alabama*-Va. Tech: WON
LSU*-TCU: WON
Auburn-Wash. St.: WON
Georgia*-Clemson*: LOST
Florida*-Miami*: LOST
Kentucky-Louisville*: LOST
Tennessee-Oregon*: LOST
Ole Miss*-Texas: WON
Arkansas-Rutgers: LOST
Missouri-Indiana: WON

So that puts the SEC at 6-6 vs. BCS AQ league teams (also have a loss to mid-major WKU by Kentucky). Four of the six wins have been by currently ranked SEC teams against currently unranked OOC teams, while the other two featured currently unranked teams from both conferences. Against currently ranked OOC BCS AQ teams, the conference is 0-5 so far, despite the fact that the SEC team was ranked higher and favored going into two of the games.

Upcoming, with projected results (* indicates currently ranked team):

South Carolina*-UCF: WIN
Vandy-Wake Forest: WIN
Georgia*-Ga. Tech: WIN
South Carolina*-Clemson*: Toss-up (slight underdog)
Florida*-FSU*: Toss-up (slight underdog)

That projects to 3-0 with two toss-ups, but the SEC is a slight underdog in both tossups. Assuming 1-1 in the tossups, that's 4-1, added to our current 6-6 for a combined 10-7 vs. BCS AQ leagues, plus the aforementioned loss to a Sun Belt team. Against ranked OOC BCS AQ teams upcoming, we are projected 2 tossups with the SEC team being a slight underdog in both. Even assuming a split of the tossups, we would supplement our current 0-5 record vs. ranked OOC BCS AQ opponents with an additional 1-1, for a final slate of 1-6.

This does not look good for a 1-loss SEC champion hoping to play in the BCS NC game. The computers are not going to like the SEC champion in that situation, although the poll voters may take the attitude that any non-SEC team must beat an SEC team to win a legitimate NC. The SEC champion could really use a sweep of the ACC in rivalry week, but may not even be playing in any of those games.
