Especially proud of AJ Derby. That was a somewhat hostile environment and he played as good as you could hope him too.

Rutgers did exactly what they should on D - force our passing game to beat them, and somehow we had enough passing game to beat them for the first three quarters.

Our D played a great game but were gassed at the end. Rutgers QB made some nice throws when he had to.

When we get Allen back, I think we can field a damn competitive team. We wont compete with Bama and LSU, but we'll give some other SEC teams a run for their money.

Without Allen I didnt expect to win, but I'm still heartbroken over this loss now knowing we had it in our hands.

I know some fans taking shots at us now are going to end up getting beat by this Arkansas team. Enjoy it while you can.

If you're proud of not going to a bowl game this year, good for you.

Probably should have posted this on the Arkansas board because it's about to be 97% flames.

As much "moral victory" shite as we got from the Hogs last week. This is funny.

Arkansas will get back to the good ol days when they were racking up 7-8 wins every season you just need to give it time. Honestly I'm not sure Bret is the guy for the job - he is a good coach but I dunno if he's good enough to get a program like Arkansas back to being successful.

Tough loss but when you take into consideration
-we have a new coaching staff
-we have a new scheme
-first away game
-our starting QB was out and our backup was known to not be very good
its not that bad. We'll be a lot better when Brandon Allen and the competent passing game return. We really need to clean up the stupid penalties though.

I'm never proud of losers. They played uninspired and like shite. You want praise. Win! This ain't preschool. In real life not everyone is a winner. Those folks are called losers. That would be the Hogs today.

I don't blame any of the players. It's the coaching that's the problem IMO. I'm not proud of them.

Not aimed at you, but a lot of Arky fans set themselves up for flames this week with the "best RBs in the SEC" type threads.

We all know Arky is rebuilding and this would be a tough year. It was a valiant effort with the back-up qb, but you should never give up a 24-7 in any game that doesn't include Cam Newton.

Good luck the rest of the way out

You know when you get drunk and that first wave of positive, feel-good emotion hits you? That's what I feel every time I see an Arky fan defend losing to Rutgers.

Same here.

There's always a first time to be disappointed in a new coaching staff and that's all I'm attributing this to being. I wonder what Alabama fans were thinking when Saban lost to ULM in his first year, but he turned out alright and so I'm not even close to giving up on Bielema. I just can't deny being disappointed in our offensive strategy, no matter which coach deserves the blame.

Not sure why everyone is so surprised by this loss. I didn't expect us to win without Allen. We weren't even favored...
