Regarding his #7 point: Do not, I repeat, DO NOT carry an open container off campus in Athens. The city police will cite you for open container and you'll have a fine. It's silly, but I know there are tons of LSU fans making the trip for the first time next weekend.

You can carry it all over campus, but don't head downtown with an open container.

Is life expectancy factored into that?

I'll help

#10 Mostly: Everyone's just scared of LSU. To a man, there is no tailgating bunch, road or away, treated with as much fear and dread as the Louisiana State fans. They cause most of the fights, they show up at 7 a.m. the day before games and they pretty much take over the city. "The minute I see them on the schedule, I know it's going to be a crazyass weekend," one tailgater said. "We're good at this, but we're not that good."

So, acting like the southern swamp version of Jersey/Philly trash is "good" tailgating???

I walked around 2 downtown 2 weeks ago with a dixie cup full of beer and a box of miller lite under my arm. Never had any problems, even while stopping to refill said cup.

Its kinda like trespassing...if there is thousands of people doing it...luck factors in more than anything in terms of being caught.
