That Auburn team was really good. I had forgotten how good the defense was especially.

Besides the '79 USCw game and '97 Florida game, this was probably the best game I have ever attended in Tiger Stadium.

Never forget that one. That was probably the most talented team in AU history prior to 2004. Led the nation in defense AND the SEC in offense.

Anytime you give a decent team 8 snaps in the redzone there's a good chance they'll find a way to score, which is what happened. Ah well, the 2010 game made up for it - sort of.

Trying to talk SEC football is a chore on here lately

Anyway it is a good read. Interesting that Dye said it was the hardest loss he took. Looking back Aubie might have won a NC that year, Notre Dame/WV was a awful awful game
