Seems like there haven't been a lot of tickets sold or much advertising period. I'm going, and why not? Everyone needs a little mid tempo pop rock in their lives. :nb4notgoingcauseyouare/theysuck:

I only like one song by them plus I have a truck payment due on the 22nd so no. I would recommend going to the Queens of the Stone Age concert on October 8th... they're good.

Fort Fresh has sevendust in town for $7 next week.

Last time I can recall them being around they were playing in LR, which just goes to show how damaging playing in LR can be.

Yeah, they have them playing at the fairgrounds here but instead of the arena venue with 10,000+ seats they're playing on an open dirt fenced arena. I'm sure all the toothless sideshow freak jobs from eastern Oklahoma will have it packed.

Fortunately for me I live just a short distance away and have been able to enjoy the likes of Foo Fighters, Third Eye Blind, Snoop Dogg, and A Day To Remember

back in my day it was at the drive in, murder city devils, and modest mouse at Clunk. those three bands, constantly touring through. i remember when modest mouse was becoming "big" during the tour for the moon and antartica and had to move the show to george's.

Was that at George's or was that a building on West at the time called Schulertown? I remember seeing them there in 2000 with The Shins and Black Heart Procession. There wasn't good ventilation in the building and the cops were hassling people for loitering outside, so everyone was inside and it was kinda miserable and kinda awesome.

They also played at clunk proper in September of 2001- maybe on a weird bill with !!! and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists?

It was the same month as the Clunk show where the White Stripes played. That was definitely September 11, 2001.

Isn't the Clunk guy reduced to delivering food on his scooter now?

That guy could book bands.

Yeah, he's doing a scooter food delivery service now. I imagine it probably is a more secure cash flow than booking bands.

It's pretty incredible that he ran an all ages venue for as long as he did. The booking was great. My favorite show was definitely seeing Les Savy Fav, but the Dismemberment Plan/Death Cab for Cutie show was cool. Soophie Nun Squad from North Little Rock played one of the best shows I've seen up there.

After Clunk quit doing it, everything went to house shows for my friends. Not a lot of cool national bands coming to play those.
