Vegas line has moved from -3 to +1.5 in one day. Vegas lines don't generally move like this unless something has happened. I'm very worried we hear about some bad news in the next few days

I hope not! I just think Indiana is becoming the "sexy" upset pick since the media is seizing on the fact that their coach was OU's OC and beat us 6 times. So that gives them a huge advantage, right? Because they have an OU ddefense.

I haven't heard anything that makes me think anyone has been suspended or injured. Fingers crosse!

The fix is in.

Obviously, the B1G is pissed that we turned our back on their "partial"invitation to the B1G. Therefore, Delany and his cronies have colluded to ensure that the referees will completely blow this game in favor of IU.

Either that, or some big money is being thrown around for this game. Which seems even more far fetched than my referee conspiracy theory.

Where's Mizzeaux on this one? We need his Vegas input!

Lots of money on Indiana. The line has moved so much, it opened at Mizzou -3.5 late Monday and got down to a real pickem yesterday.

It's back to Mizzou -1 as of right now, which means the money is moving back to Mizzou.

Mizzou's 2-0 ATS and Indiana is 2-1 ATS, but I'm thinking a lot of people aren't respecting the Toledo and FCS game. They weren't really available nationally, and Indiana putting up 73 against anyone is pretty impressive.

Home field is worth about 3 points, so if this game was in Columbia, it would likely be Mizzou -4. Over/Under is 71.5, so the books are expecting a close shootout.

I think the books had it right with the Mizzou-3/3.5, but the public isn't bought in to Mizzou or they're really in to Indiana. As you all know, the line is more about the book setting the number at a place where they don't get burned by bettor money, not necessarily a reflection of what they think the score of the game will be.

Thanks for talking me off the ledge Mizzeaux. So far no bombshells today, I'm just hoping we are at full strength. If so I think we should win by 10

Thanks, Mizzeaux!!! This makes sense to me.

And I agree with FightTigers. Assuming we're full strength, I think we win by 10-14. What time is the game again?

Sounds like the bettors aren't looking closely enough. From Dave Matter's chat.

quote:

Right guard Dan Feeney, right tackle Peyton Eckert and left guard Bernard Taylor all missed the Bowling Green game with injuries. Feeney is out for the season - and has been since camp. The other two might not play against Missouri. Their status is uncertain.

I don't know if those are all starters, but it's still interesting to me.

And this morning we're back to Mizzou -2.5.

Lots of movement, hopefully it's a good game. I'll be trying to find a place in Seattle with the BTN. Hopefully it happens.
