Alabama runningbacks' underperformance in the NFL

Alabama runningbacks under Saban have been major disappointments in the NFL so far.

Glen Coffee- not supposed to be anything more than a backup or 3rd back in the league, but he just randomly up and quits and only averaged 2.9 ypc.

Mark Ingram- Heisman winner supposed to be a very good back in the NFL. Somehow, even though he's been in a very good passing offense to help back the safeties up, he still sucks so much ass. Still has time to get better I guess.

Trent Richardson-Very average. Almost any back in the NFL can average 3.5 ypc. This guy was supposed to be a game changer. His team already gave up on him. Still early for him too, but he appears very average.

Eddie Lacy- Way too early to have a valid opinion, but I think he's probably the best of this group. Still looked very average through his 1st 2 games.

One could argue Stevan Ridley is better than all of them.

So do Bama RB prospects have the same issue as USC QB prospects under Pete Carrol did? Great surrounding cast that makes them appear better than they really are?

Dude is legit, had 11 touchdowns as a rookie. Richardson will be a very good RB in the NFL

Basically all your post said was Ingram is a bust.

We're all about to hear that he's in the "wrong offense", yet Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory, and Darren Sproles have had no problem outperforming Mark Ingram in the last 2 years...

USC QBs in the NFL were straight busts before Carroll was there.

How the hell did Lacy look average in his 2nd game? He ran one time for 10 yards and got a concussion on a dirty hit. Very few running backs in the league could average much more than Trent has behind that offensive line. Ingram I do agree has been a disappointment, but my hope is he gets a chance somewhere else and at least becomes a good reliable backup for 5 or 6 years.

Mark Ingram

He's never looked the same since his knee injury in college. Shame on the Saints organization for not doing better research and drafting him in the first round.

Eddie Lacy

I would not count him out. The first game he was up against one of the best defenses in the NFL. The second game he rushed for 10 yards on his first carry before getting a cheap shot from a well-known cheap shot artist.

Reggie Bush sucked for the Saints and has done a good job elsewhere. Coffee quit. Any commentary on the other two is retarded.

Honest answer.

Saban does more with less talent than anyone in the history of college football as shown by how crappy the players are in the NFL. Saban is clearly the greatest coach of all time.
